Come along to our weekly crafting group!Whether you want to learn a new creative skill such as sewing or textiles, or whether you'd just like to bring along your own projects to work on in a friendly, peaceful environment with like minded people, with plenty tea and biscuits, this is the group for you.You can choose to learn one of the following skills –Beginners crochet – learn the basic stitches that will let you make a huge number of crochet items such a little amigurumi critters, scarves and baskets.Beginners sewing – learn how to use your sewing machine to create items for your body and home.Beginners knitting – learn the basic stitches you need to get going on any knitting project.The group is open to all skill levels – never used a sewing machine before and would love to learn? GREAT! Come along and we'll get you up and running. Want just a space where you can do something for yourself without kids or dogs or other priorities getting in the way? GREAT! Bring your knitting or crochet or sketchbook or whatever you're working on and join us.The group is an opportunity for you to just come and do something for you just for some 'me time' or to have some accountability and space to plough through those WIPs you've have stashed in the cupboard for a while or work on things you just don't have room to at home. You'll also be able to use the group to bounce ideas off as well as getting the encouragement and inspiration that comes from working in a group setting.If you'd like to discuss your plans before booking, feel free to email Carolyn on firstname.lastname@example.org or to message the Facebook page.There is free tea, coffee and biscuits available at each session (the important stuff) as well as unfettered access to Carolyn's ever growing scrap box and other small materials, however for the bulk of your projects you will need to provide your own materials. There are also a couple of sewing machines you can use, as well as other specialist equipment available upon request. The group will meet on Tuesday nights between 6.30 and 9.00pm (coming later and leaving earlier is fine) in The Venue, Laurencekirk which is behind the Masonic Hall on the High Street. There is parking outside The Venue and it has a ramp and wheelchair accessible toilets.Each block lasts for 5 Tuesdays. This booking is for the block beginning 28th May. For other dates please see the other listings.Booking is essential as work space is limited I'm afraid.This is an adult group but people aged 13-16 are welcome with an adult. Over 16s are welcome without an adult accompanying them. If you plan to attend and will be either bringing a young person or if you or one of your party has additional requirements please let me know in advance by emailing email@example.com so I can make sure everything is in place so that you or they can get the most out of the group. This group requires a minimum number to go ahead.Cancellation Policy: As with all online purchases you can cancel this class within 1 week of booking and get a refund. After this one week period has passed, no refunds will be given. No refunds will be given for spaces cancelled within one week of the class date nor will refunds be given if students just don't turn up. If the class is cancelled by knittykittybangbang, you will be refunded.
